WING IT

Birds, branches, wings, feathers, and anything that symbolizes flight is always beautiful to me. I love how something as delicate as a bird can be so powerful in it's ability to fly, sing, and provide for its young. Bring some yellows, blues, and grays into your wardrobe or your home to remind you of a canary or a dove flying in the blue sky.

GREEN PIECE

I have always been drawn to Green and Brown, especially paired together.  Having a piece of Green in a room or on your body seems to bring a sense of fresh, calm energy into everything. Whether it is in shades of Jade, Kelly, Celadon, or Sage, it always reminds me that I need to spend more time outdoors enjoying nature. Accents of Brown and wood add to the organic feel.

GLAMOROUS BEATCH

With temperatures forecasted to hit over 100 in the city this weekend, I think it's time to hit the beach. Contrary to what the following photos would lead you to believe, I will not be frolicking in the sand in my stilettos and glam make-up. We'll leave that to the supermodels. In any case I thought this photo shoot by Camilla Akrans for Harper's Bazaar UK was too hot to pass up, so I had to share it. Happy Friday!

AYE POPPY

Few flowers are as fragile and feminine as Poppies. Their delicate ruffled petals in bright red, coral, pink, and orange have always reminded me of fluffy little umbrellas. I love pairing something so bright and soft with something dark and clean lined.

MO ROCKIN' BRIDE

When I came across these images, I just had to repost this. I absolutely love the colorful elements that a Moroccan influence can bring to a wedding. The colors remind me of exotic spices meeting a teal sea surrounded by dimly lit brass and gold lanterns. The vibe of the florals and the decor is sultry, vibrant, and lavish.

FLORAL PLEASURE

Fresh florals always give me pleasure. Whether they are in live form or a graphic print, they add color and life to everything. Soft Mint Green and vibrant Coral paired with graphic Black & White elements make for a lovely color palette. Use it for your home, your wardrobe, or a special celebration like a wedding, luncheon or shower.

AMETHYST: ROMANCING THE STONE

Nature is our most valuable resource from every perspective. I always find endless inspiration from its colors and textures. In this case, romantic shades of Amethyst create a dreamy vignette that can be used as inspiration for fashion, home, or entertaining. It can be warmed up with glamorous golds or cooled down with earthy grays. Either way, I'm a fan.

GOLD RUSH: INSPIRED CREATIVE SPACE

This is not the "gold rush" the news reported today, rather this is an inspiring one for a creative office space. I just love the way bright white looks against all colors, but it really pops against metallics. Make your work area fun by using decorative objects for office use.

SOMETHING BLUE

This stunning wedding gown by Christian Dior brings the traditional belief of wearing "something blue" to a whole new level. I love the influence of old fashioned blue and white porcelain china executed from such a fresh and modern perspective. If only I could have another wedding for every new dress I fall in love with...sigh.
